I live in Somerset West, a picturesque coastal town just outside Cape Town, South Africa. Nestled between rolling hills and vineyards, with the Atlantic Ocean nearby, it’s a place rich in natural beauty — a constant source of inspiration with its diverse landscapes and peaceful rhythms.
In early 2022, my life was shattered by a family tragedy — a life-altering event that changed everything. During this difficult time, I picked up a pencil to quiet my thoughts, and slowly, drawing became a way to cope. One drawing at a time, I found myself piecing my life back together. What began as a form of survival grew into something deeper — with immense gratitude, I discovered that art had become one of my greatest passions.
Over time, I experimented with various media including watercolour, oil, and pastel, but ultimately found my artistic voice in graphite and charcoal. These materials allow me to explore the delicate space between realism and hyperrealism — capturing quiet moments and true snapshots of life.
I have exhibited with The Drawing Guild in 2023 and 2024 and had the privilege of selling original pieces and completing commissions that carry deep personal meaning for their owners.
For me, art is both healing and expressive. It's a journey I'm still on - and I am grateful to share it with you.
